Lower jaw – fourth quadrant
We open up our case descriptions in MDG with a UK case where we want to show what technology can do today. The patient is missing 45, 46 to be replaced with implants and a 44 to be root canalized. Pillar and crown on 44 will be done at the same time as the implant prosthetics. Here we have made a tooth-borne guide that goes over into the third quadrant and also rests on 44 and to 47. A tooth-borne guide like this is very stable and gives the best result. This case was evaluated with postoperative CBCT which was then matched with the virtual plan to measure the precision of the surgery. Here the deviation in apical joint was 0.11 and 0.05 mm.
